Eye Masks and Ear Plugs
Whether you're in a hostel in Amsterdam or a taking an overnight bus in
the Peruvian Andes, you need your sleep! You're travel companions will
thank you for it and you'll be a lot more fun to be around.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the world sleeps on your schedule. (How
dare they!). So you definitely want to take along a few ear plugs and an
eye mask. Catching a miday snooze in a busy hostel dorm after a night
of partying is nearly imposslbe without them. Eye Masks and ear plugs
were orginally used mainly on airplanes. But airplanes are propbably the
quietest and most sane place you'll be on your travels. So the next
time the bus driver blares his favorite 1980s Latin remakes of Michael
Jackson hits for 12 straight hours, you'll be ready and rested.
